The city of Worthington, OH, is located in Franklin County, north of downtown Columbus along Interstate 270. Worthington covers 5.5 square miles of land, home to a population of roughly 14,000 people throughout a variety of residential neighborhoods.

The city was founded in 1803 and named in honor of Thomas Worthington, who later became governor of Ohio. Except for a small border with Perry Township on the west, Worthington is completely surrounded by Columbus. The Olentangy River runs through Worthington alongside State Route 315 and Olentangy Park. The Pontifical College Josephinum relocated close to Worthington in 1931, where it exists today as the only Roman Catholic pontifical college outside of Italy. Three branches of the Worthington Public Library continue to serve the community.
